We are asking for your support of the Lake Parks Foundation 2016 Annual Fund. Through your financial support we can continue to promote the development of parks, recreation and leisure services, and enhance the quality of life for our residents and visitors in Lake County.
The Lake Parks Foundation will fund over $140,000 this year for Lake Metroparks capital projects and provide educational scholarships to local and surrounding schools to promote the understanding of preserving our environment and natural heritage.
The Lake Parks Foundation is a 501 (c) 3 organization. When you make a donation to the Lake Parks Foundation, you make a genuine difference in the lives of all who cherish nature, visit the parks, as well as participate in various activities or programs.
Along with providing scholarships and camperships toward educational programs for school-age children, the Lake Parks Foundation provides grants for capital projects within the parks. One of the current projects we help fund is the observation tower at Lake Erie Bluffs Park in Perry Township. The 50-foot high observation tower overlooks the lakeshore featuring 360-degree views. The observation tower was just completed this year.
The Lake Parks Foundation also supported Showman’s Circle, the creation of a Barnyard-themed playground and water feature at the Farmpark in Kirtland. This new adventure space encourages creative play and stimulates the imagination of the thousands of children who visit the Farmpark annually with their families.
Please continue your support of our parks by reviewing the enclosed brochure for contribution information. By making a donation today, you share in our passion of preserving our environment for future generations.
