Dear Friend,

Through your financial donation we can continue to promote the development of parks, recreation and leisure services, and enhance the quality of life for our residents and visitors in Lake County. We are asking for your support of our 2018-19 Annual Fund to continue the important projects completed annually by Lake Parks Foundation.

Lake Parks Foundation has funded more than $305,000 for Lake Metroparks capital projects and educational scholarships to area schools over the past six years. These programs for children promote the understanding of preserving our environment and natural heritage. We also contribute to camperships for individuals in need.

In 2018 the Lake Parks Foundation provided scholarships for 500 school children in our communities to participate in environmental learning experiences.

In 2017-2018, the Lake Parks Foundation supported the remodeling of the Plant Science Center at Lake Metroparks Farmpark, in Kirtland, to educate school children and families on where our food comes from with interactive visual displays about how food grows in the garden and gets to the table. The project was completed in 2018, and is located in the Greenhouse, replacing the Great Tomato Works exhibit.

In 2018, Lake Parks Foundation provided a grant for a new StarLab portable planetarium, which is already in use. The Foundation also provided grants for new countertops and cupboards and videocam in the Kevin P. Clinton Wildlife Center at Penitentiary Glen Reservation.

Recently, Lake Parks Foundation has supported other projects in Lake County by sponsoring a baseball team at the Miracle League Field next to the Lake County Captains Classic Park Stadium in Eastlake. In April, the Foundation sponsored a Bird Walk at Lake Erie Bluffs and we continue to provide support for local running events.

Because Lake Parks Foundation is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization, every dollar received supports parks, preservation and recreation in Lake County. When you make a donation to Lake Parks Foundation, you make a genuine difference in the lives of all who cherish nature and visit the parks as well as participate in various activities or programs.

Please continue your support of our parks by reviewing the enclosed brochure for contribution information. By making a donation today, you share in our passion of preserving our environment for future generations. Lake Parks Foundation Spend Policy secures our financial commitment into the future. If you would like to contact us for more information call

Thank you in advance for your support!

Sincerely,
